There are many activities to do while you are here to admire the sunflower fields during our festival from 7/25/2020 - 8/2/2020. Some events happen on the weekends and some happen on the weekdays. Be sure to check the dates of each event carefully.

Dog Policy: There are NO DOGS or other pets allowed on the farm. You are welcome to contact TAKE 5 Doggie Daycare down the street from the farm to see if they are available to take your dog while you visit the flowers. They are only open Monday thru Friday.

TIPS FOR VISITING
We want you to enjoy every part of your experience when you visit the Sunflower Festival. Here a few things to keep in mind when you plan your visit.

The end of July/beginning of August is a hot time of year for New Hampshire. We have experienced 90 degree weather in the past. We have also experienced pop up thunderstorms and rain showers. We encourage you to bring an umbrella if the forecast is calling for a chance of rain. If thunderstorms roll through, the fields will be evacuated until the threat has passed. Please respect our judgement during field evacuations. We never want to have to evacuate our fields, but we do so in the interest of your safety. The rain tends to pass quickly and you can go back to enjoying the field once the threat has passed...rainbows often appear!

Most of this event is held out in our open fields in the full sun. Plan to bring hats, sunscreen, sunglasses and LOTS of WATER. Our bottle refill stations will not be available this year. If you do forget your water, there are bottles available for purchase at a reasonable cost from the farm store.

As stated before, this event is held on a farm in our fields. Be sure to wear the appropriate comfortable footwear. Heels are not advised.

There is a large tent near the fields with tables & chairs. There will be local Food Vendors to purchase meals from - more options on the weekends than weekdays. Live Music is available to enjoy under the tent on weekends only. You are more than welcome to bring your own food to enjoy during your visit. We ask that you leave any alcoholic beverages at home.

Remember...we have farm fresh meat for sale from animals raised here on the farm, so don't forget to bring a cooler to bring home some goodies!
About Our Festival
Our Sunflower Festival is a special event put on every summer to celebrate our beautiful sunflower fields. Our sunflowers are harvested every fall to press the seeds into culinary oil, however, they are a sight to behold while they are blooming. Oilseed sunflowers are not like ornamental sunflower varieties that bloom for 3 weeks or more. Oilseed sunflowers bloom and begin to turn their heads to start drying their seed after only about 12 days. This means that we have a limited window to enjoy them in. This window is when we hold our Sunflower Festival; when they are the most beautiful. It is also why there is a firm end date to our festival.

From the joy these fields of sunflowers bring, came the desire to give back to our community. We partnered with Make-A-Wish NH in 2016 because they are an organization we feel strongly about. Our farm is a family destination, and Make-A-Wish NH works with children and families. The pairing couldn't be more perfect. We have enjoyed working with them and look forward to many more. We donate 10% of admissions from the Sunflower Festival. In 2017, we were thrilled to find out that we were able to fulfill the whole cost of a wish for a very deserving little girl. In 2018, we doubled our donation fulfilling two wishes! Over the last seven years, we have been able to donate over $90,000.
In 2022, we felt drawn to providing more assistance to our immediate community. We will still be donating 10% of farm profits, but it will be split between a few local seacoast organizations. The 2023 organizations are:

We still hold our annual Make-A-Wish Raffle during the festival, proceeds from which will solely benefit Make-A-Wish NH.

Handicap Accessibility
The sunflower festival takes place in our farm fields. The roads to get to those fields are packed dirt, gravel or grass. There is an extensive amount of walking required to visit the sunflower fields. Wheelchairs, scooters, etc are welcome in the field, but we cannot guarantee accessibility to the whole field. There will be no transportation offered to visitors by farm staff to the field.

If your mobility is limited, we encourage you to visit the farm on Monday July 29th, 2024 for our Limited Mobility Day. Due to heavy pedestrian traffic at this event, we cannot allow vehicles to drive to the tent or fields on any other day.
